Twitter to offer SMS alert for Government, Leaders tweets

Twitter kicked off new feature called Twitter Samvad, a digital governance as part of Government’s ‘Digital India Initiative’. The new feature will deliver a set of Tweets from the Government agencies and Leaders to your Mobile as SMS alert.




The SMS feature will provide updates on Government services, policies and activities to all those who signed up for this feature through 16 Government accounts as in the starting phase. To subscribe: You just need to give a miss call to a unique number assigned for each accounts.





After placing the miss call, you will start receiving a set of tweets throughout the day. In case of emergency or any urgent public announcements the subscribed account owner can instantly give the latest update on a given situation.


The miss call service by Twitter, created by ZipDial which is recently acquired by Twitter.
