How to find Android version


Why do you to find Android version of your smartphone or tablet? It will let you know the current version of Android you are using. With this you can easily know which features are you getting and what not.





To find out your Android version

·        Go to Settings.
·        Scroll down and find About Phone.
·        Here you can see your Android version.






Mine says 6.0 which means my device is running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. Here’s the list of Android versions with their code names.


Ø Android 6.0 (Marshmallow)
Ø Android 5.x (Lollipop)
Ø Android 4.4.x (KitKat)
Ø Android 4.1.x – 4.3.x (Jelly Bean)
Ø Android 4.0.x (Ice Cream Sandwich)
Ø Android 3.0 (Honeycomb)
Ø Android 2.3.x (Gingerbread)
Ø Android 2.2 (Froyo)
Ø Android 2.0 – 2.1 (Eclair)
Ø Android 1.6 (Donut)
Ø Android 1.5 (Cupcake)
