How to free up Internal Storage of Smartphones (Android)


Many people complaints that their smartphones show Internal Storage Full, if your smartphones support memory card then you can move pictures, videos to SD card but after doing this, it won’t fix the issue. Here’s the guide to free up Internal Storage of Smartphones on Android.





·        Clear Cached Files

Removing caches is a real smart move to bring some storage space, to remove cached files simply go to Settings > Storage and tap on Cache, you will be asked to clear the cache data by a pop-up. Hit OK.


·        Uninstall Large or Unnecessary Apps

Uninstall large apps and games because it takes huge amount of storage, to remove large or unwanted apps head to Settings > Storage and tap on Apps (app data & Media Content). There will be list of apps which are sorted in higher to lower order in size, just tap on the app which you want to remove and hit uninstall.


·        Remove Media Files

Medias such as photos and videos captured by your phone’s camera or media downloaded via apps like WhatsApp or you have either transferred through USB take space of your phone, delete unwanted medias by opening gallery or file manager.


·        Use Cloud Storage

If you have large amount of medias, then use Cloud Storage such as Google Drive or Microsoft’s OneDrive, Dropbox etc.


·        Clear Data on Apps

Clearing data on apps will save a ton of storage space, for example apps like Facebook and Facebook Messenger are the famous apps which takes random space by caching the files. To clear data on apps, go to Settings > Apps and tap on the app and hit Clear Data.
