Before I start, wishing all my readers a very
Happy New Year…
Want to pause a
streaming YouTube video from the comfort position or email a forgotten file
from home to office, gain full control over your PC from your Smartphones. In
this tutorial I’ll explain the simplest way to control your Computer (Windows
or Mac) from your Smartphones, no matter where you are as it uses an Internet Connection
to connect with the device.
Things needed:
Ø Google account
First of all you
have to set up your PC with Chrome Remote Desktop, so that it can receive
connection from your Smartphone. Just follow the steps.
·
Download
‘Chrome Remote Desktop’ on your
Desktop browser by clicking the above given link. Then click on ‘Add to Chrome’.
·
Click
on ‘Add app’ which will add it to
chrome browser as an extension.
·
Once it
installed to the Chrome browser launch it, this has to be done once then forget
about the extension as it runs in background.
·
Here
you can see two tabs, one is ‘Remote
Assistance’ and another is ‘My
Computers’. Click Get Start on ‘My
Computer’ and enable the remote connections. (A software will be download just
install it.)
·
To
protect your System you must set a PIN, this PIN is required every time when
you connect it to your PC, and if you don’t to enter PIN again and again, you
can remember it through Mobile app. Once you set your PIN then your remote
connections will be enabled in your PC. (Note: If you are using Laptop, make
sure to configure to not sleep or shutdown, under the power management.)
You may thinking
about the disable option of the remote connections, please be cool because your
system is protected with a PIN so nothing to worry or in some any reason you
want to stop the remote connections you can remove your PC.
That’s it you are
done with your PC, now get the Chrome Remote Desktop app on your iPhone or
Android from the link given above.
·
Download
Chrome Remote Desktop app on your phone and open it, you may ask to login to
your Google account (this happens mostly in IOS devices), just sign in and
continue. Now you see name of your PC in the app, tap on it to access your PC
from anywhere. Then wait for a moment to connect to your PC.
·
Now it
will ask for the PIN which you set in your PC, (you can tick in the checkbox,
by doing so it won’t ask again to enter the PIN) then tap on connect.
Here you can view your
PC from your Smartphone and can control from your Smartphone’s touchscreen. Just
swipe the screen to control mouse, one tap on the screen will do left click and two finger tap will do right click.
So enjoy your PC at
your finger point on your Phone, having any trouble in Chrome Remote Desktop,
let me know under comments and I’ll be happy to help you.
