How to turn off Search Predictions in Browser


Whenever we type in address bar of the browser, Google’s search predictions pops-up which are useful. But it annoys sometime, you can easily stop predictions, today in this tutorial I’ll show you How to turn off Search Predictions in Browser.







To turn off Search Predictions in Browser follow the steps:




Google Chrome (Desktop)

·        Click on the menu button of the browser (upper right).
·        Click Settings > Show Advanced Settings.
·        Scroll down to Privacy.
·        Now uncheck ‘Use a prediction service to help complete searches and URLs typed in the address bar.’




Google Chrome (Mobile)

·        Tap on the menu button.
·        Tap Settings > Privacy.
·        Now uncheck ‘Show search and URL suggestions.




Firefox (Desktop)

·        Open Firefox and click on the menu button.
·        Click Options.
·        Now click on the Search (Left side panel).
·        Uncheck ‘Show search suggestions in location bar results.




Firefox (Mobile)

·        Launch Firefox app and tap on the menu button.
·        Tap Settings > Customize.
·        Tap on Search.
·        Uncheck ‘Show search suggestions.’




Microsoft Edge

·        Open Edge browser and click More Action Menu.
·        Click on Settings > Advance Settings.
·        Scroll down and uncheck ‘Show search and site suggestions as I type




Opera Mini

·        Open Opera Mini browser and click on the Menu.
·        Click on Settings.
·        Click on Privacy & Security.
·        Uncheck ‘Use a prediction service to help complete searches and URLs typed in the address bar.




Safari (Desktop)

·        Open Safari and head to Preferences.
·        Now select Search tab.
·        Uncheck ‘Include search engine suggestions.’




Safari (Mobile)

·        Open Safari and head to Settings.
·        Scroll down and find Search Section.
·        Uncheck ‘Search Engine Suggestions.’




That’s it, now you will never see suggestions when you type in to the address bar.
